I found the painting technique on Brushthralls blog. It works great, but the only thing that is tricking is controlling the amount of salt that you apply. I got a little heavy with the salt application on my Ironclad.  It make the paint look bubbled, rough and cracked everywhere you get salt and the salty liquid.  Here is the link to this technique called Salt to Taste – Battle Damage II.
